Very large invertebrate for interactive bug parties and displays. All millipedes are vegetarian, docile & non-venomous (the exact opposite of centipedes)
The name ‘millipede’ is derived from the Latin for ‘a thousand feet’ but the record seems to be about 750 for any known millipede. The Giant African is one of the largest species easily reaching a foot long. It originates from East Africa from Mozambique through to Kenya. They can live approximately 5 -7 years.
